Given the City Council vote to rescind the mandate, masks will be welcome but not required at the libraries as of Monday the 28th. The Library Board voted to implement said change on Monday, March 28th, or when the City Council made their decision effective, whichever date was later. The Library Board of Trustees voted at their Tuesday, March 22nd meeting to remove the library mask mandate should the City Council rescind the citywide mandate at the meeting on Wednesday, March 23rd. With the rescission of Ordinance 2021-09, face masks are no longer required in any City building EXCEPT for Lebanon Libraries (as further explained below) and the Lebanon Airport which is required to follow federal TSA laws requiring masks until April 18, 2022.
